Images, objects, colors and shapes have always intrigued me.  How light filters through an old window shade casting a yellow glow are memories I recall as a child.  Drawing and sketching was something I always did, but I never had the time to pursue painting until I moved to the Vineyard four years ago.  I’ve met a group of encouraging and supportive women and started painting.  Still life painting offered a challenge to see objects in a controlled environment, it’s amazing how so many ordinary objects become beautiful. The next frontier…plein air!
