Suzanna Nickerson‘s collages are a display of  primarily plastic beach trash found on the beaches of Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard.  Most of her collage are comprised of whatever trash she finds during one or two beach walks, each walk lasting, loosely, one hour.  They tell a story of our world today, where plastic disposable items have gained more value than our natural world.  A world where our immediate comforts and conveniences have more value than the beauty and perfection of the natural world.  Suzanna has been a collage artist most of her life, first working with textiles, then paper collage and photo collage now she is so excited to present her “Beach Trash Art” at the West Tisbury Library Virtual Exhibition here on Marthas Vineyard.
